Dahl House Designs is proud to offer a new service to all of our Site Care & Maintenance clients; Broken Link Detection!

What is a Broken Link?

One of the best ways to increase your site’s credibility is to include external links with your content. An external link is one that directs users to a different website; typically in a new window. But what happens when that external source unpublishes the page or changes their URL? You get a link that leads to nowhere; in other words, a broken link.

Broken links don’t leave a good impression with your users; it’s your reputation & revenue at stake. Wouldn’t it be nice to know when a link stops working?

Additionally, broken links can significantly lower your bounce rate, which will undoubtedly hurt your SEO. Learn more about search engine optimization is affected by broken links in this excellent post by SEOPresser.

Our new Broken Link Detection service scans your site daily, looking specifically for links that no longer work. We can quickly identify link issues, and resolve them before your users or search engines discover them.

How Do I Get Broken Link Detection?

If you are a current Website Care & Maintenance client, good news, we are already doing a daily scan of your site. When we detect a broken link, we’ll let you know right away.

If you haven’t signed up for one of our Care & Maintenance plans, what are you waiting for? Broken Link Detection is just one of the many services we include with all our packages. Let us know, and we can help you determine which service package is right for you.
